The Parlor Guitar

19" body, 13" lower bout, 4" depth
12 frets to the body, 24.9" scale

A turn-of-the-last-century guitar for the beginning-of-the-new-century guitarist.

The Running Dog Parlor is based on a 1896 Martin size 0. That was a big guitar when it was made!

Sweet treble, balanced bass, surprising presence, and crisp articulation distinguish the Parlor guitar. Often unjustly overlooked by aficionados of large-bodied guitars, the Parlor guitar is intimate and personal with the ability to sound great on stage or in the studio.

Running Dog Parlors are unusual in being available with a cutaway, giving access above the neck-body joint at the 12th fret. Both Arty McGlynn and Dennis Cahill play cutaway Parlors, in redwood and rosewood.
